Dr. Sudhir Srivastava is one of the foremost global experts in robotic cardiac surgery. Till date, he has performed the largest number of robotic cardiac procedures in the entire world. In July 2003, in Odessa Texas USA , Dr. Srivastava, along with ten additional physicians, founded Alliance Hospital, a centre of excellence in the treatment of cardiovascular disease, and served as its chairman for four years. While there, he performed the world’s first single vessel beating heart Totally Endoscopic Coronary Artery Bypass (TECAB). Later, he proceeded to perform two world’s first double and triple vessel TECAB on a beating heart and is the only person in the world to have performed a quadruple vessel beating heart TECAB while at the University of Chicago. Dr. Srivastava is an active member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, AATS, the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery (ISMICS) and is a founder of the Robotic Revascularization Society. Dr. Srivastava has trained hundreds of teams around the world to improve the field of robotic-assisted surgery globally. Early in this decade, Dr. Srivastava shifted his focus to help Robotic surgery reach to the developing world by starting Robotic surgery programs at Fortis Healthcare and Medanta Institute in India. It is here, that he realised how inaccessible Robotic surgery is to most part of the world, and decided to embark on the next journey of his life, giving birth to the SS Innovations group. As a Chairman at SSI, Dr. Srivastava, is leading the development of the next-generation Robotic Surgery Systems along with several other breakthrough technologies to transform Minimally Invasive Robotics and reach out to the masses by making these technologies more effective, easier-to-use, more affordable and more accessible.
Vishwa Srivastava has been involved in the field of robotic assisted surgery since 2008. He completed his premedical courses at Columbia University in New York City and is presently in the process of completing his medical degree. In 2009, while working as the Director of Digital Media and Technology at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, Vishwa was the first person in the field to develop a high definition teaching website for robotic cardiac surgery. The goal was to assist in cardiothoracic surgeons lessening their respective learning curves through didactic training modules as they transitioned from conventional approaches to minimally invasive robotic approaches. Soon after, he began his research in the concept of tele-mentoring in surgical procedures. In 2011, while working as the VP of Marketing and Technology at the International Centre for Robotic Surgery in New Delhi, Vishwa led the development of the OMNI 3D Medical Visualization system. The 2013-2014 clinical trials for the OMNI system were conducted at Shanghai Ruijin Hospital, Medanta Hospital in New Delhi, the University of Chicago, Temple University in Philadelphia and Lennox Hill Hospital in New York City. Vishwa presently serves as the President of OMNI 3D HD and is advancing the existing technological platform for availability in the global surgical endoscopic marketplace.
